My entire professional career has led me to this opportunity. I started my first business at age 19 (a roofing company). As a hired Roofer I learned through developing relationships with Builders (Networking long before the term was used) . . . there was a better way to provide a service. Following my passion I then became a Freelance Photographer and spent years working with kids to corporations, producing model composites and portfolios, musician promos (Album Covers - I know I'm dating myself), catalogs and corporate reports. My involvement in the production of 2 Real Estate By Owner Magazines allowed me to pursue another passion - Real Estate Investing.
I bought my first investment property in 1996 (a 4-Plex) and continued growing my portfolio to 25 rental homes, 3 apartment buildings and a $10 Mil Condo conversion in a exclusive Seattle area neighborhood (oh yea I also owned and managed a 250 unit Property Management Company). Then 2008/09 Happened!! Along with numerous other investors it all came crashing down.
As they say "Adversity is the Mother of Invention!" In 2009 I bought a Box Truck and started a Trucking Company with just me and a truck. Seven years later I had 26 employees, 25 trucks and trailers and $2.5 mil in gross revenue. I recently sold the business and I'm ready for my next adventure.
